2021. Projection, colour, sound, 05:00. Loop

Cinc minuts abans d'endur-s'ho tot el vent. Aquest vídeo es podria resumir en l'observació del paisatge i la seva representació, basada en l'enregistrament amb vídeo de la imatge reflectida per un mirall còncau sobre una superfície plana, la mateixa sensació que potser alguns artistes renaixentistes van sentir en descobrir la imatge en moviment. Reafirma la idea d'introspecció per partida doble: el confinament que hem patit i per la impossibilitat de l'apropiació permanent del paisatge.

Five minutes before the wind blows it all away. This could be summarized in the observation of the landscape and its representation, based on the video recording of the image reflected by a concave mirror on a flat surface. Probably, the same feeling that perhaps some Renaissance artists had, when discovering the image in movement. This work reaffirms the idea of introspection by both the lock-down we have suffered and the impossibility of belonging of the landscape.

2022. La projecció.

Si hi ha una cosa que m'atrau sobremanera és veure reflectit el sentiment de remembrar allò viscut, de poder digerir la llum que emet el record en sí mateix d'un passat. Talment, aquesta llum és singular per l'espai que cobreix i que defineix allò que projecta molt breument. Però n'hi ha prou per captar-ho, memoritzar-ho i, com a pauta final, servar-ho, malgrat només sigui per un instant que esdevindrà curt i que, conseqüentment, caldrà repetir-ho.

The light that shines upon the image of reminiscence wholly traps my interest between what has been lived and what has been memorized. A clash joining the erstwhile and the bygone. It is like the vacuum that fills the body of the light at its source and lingers throughout time pushing the void until the moment it ends as remembrance, restrain and archive. But the episode will surely remain ill-defined, distorted and half disremembered making it effortlessly needed to be scintillated anew.
